The Advance Scholarship program is run every year and is open to Bridge Housing tenants and residents who want to improve their children’s experience of school or their employment prospects.
Tenants can apply for scholarships that will assist with the costs of:
- Physical or cultural extra-curricular activities such as swimming lessons, cultural dance or team sports
- Courses certificates that will assist with professional development and/or gaining employment
- Education related costs.
Advance Scholarships are available by age group:
- Primary School students: up to $750
- High School students: up to $1,000
- Tertiary Education or Professional Development: up to $1,500.

What do I need to know to apply for a laptop?
Bridge Housing has connected up with Work Ventures this year to help each applicant's funding go further.
Tenants wishing to apply for a laptop should tick the Work Venture laptop option in the application. This will only account for $400 towards your application, and includes delivery of the laptop to your home.
Tenants who have course requirements for a specific computer for Year 11, Year 12 or tertiary studies may still apply for a specific device.
I want to apply for the scholarship but need the item before the closing date
We understand that some tenants require the items they are applying for before the closing date.

How do I apply for a scholarship?
Applicants are encouraged to apply for the Advance Scholarship online here. Please ensure you have all of the documentation uploaded before submitting the application.
An application can also be downloaded or collected from one of our offices and provided to Bridge Housing via:

- Postal mail to PO Box 20217, World Square, NSW, 2002, or
- Dropped off to either the Bridge Housing Head Office or Brookvale Office.
