More than 95 guests, including 13 tenants jumped online this morning to participate in Bridge Housing’s 2021 Annual General Meeting.

This was the second year the meeting was held online as a COVID-safe, virtual event.

Bridge Housing Chairman Mark Turner and CEO Rebecca Pinkstone provided an overview of the past financial year, as well as outlining the strategic priorities for the year ahead. Director Graham Monk presented the Financial Report.

Mark Turner said “Despite of all the challenges of the past 18 months, life still goes on and... lots of achievements have been made."

Key highlights for the year included Bridge Housing's response to the COVID-19 pandemic; the development of a new Strategic Plan for the next three years; the smooth transition to a new CEO; and the implementation of several new programs to address homelessness.

The meeting also included a farewell to Director Shirley Liew - who is retiring after an impressive 12 years on the Board - and former CEO John Nicolades, who stepped down in October after 15 years in the role.

Mark Turner thanked both Shirley and John for their incredible contributions over such a significant period of time.

Thank you to everyone who joined and especially to the tenant members who participated in the event. We hope circumstances permit us to host an in-person event in 2022.
