Bridge Housing is a proud sponsor of a virtual 2021 Yabun Festival to be held on Tuesday 26 January.

Yabun Festival is the largest one day celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture in Australia and is held every year on this day to celebrate the strengths of Australia’s first and oldest culture and to recognise that this land was and always will be Aboriginal land.

This year, due to COVID-19, Yabun will not hold public face-to-face events. However, it has organised a great line-up of live stream events, website resources and Koori radio to engage audiences who wish to join the Yabun festivities from home. 

Acting CEO Rebecca Pinkstone said: “We normally support Yabun with a Bridge Housing stall at Victoria Park, where people can stop to have a chat and learn more about the services we offer. This year we are excited to sponsor and be part of the online Yabun community at https://yabunmarketplace.com and to affirm our commitment to this important community celebration.
