Thanks to the fantastic efforts of our Together Home allocations team, this week we reached an important milestone: housing 30, or 66 per cent, of our target 45 rough sleepers.
We now have just 15 more people to house under the $36 million NSW Government-funded statewide program.
It has been wonderful to see how quickly we've been able to make a difference to some of the most vulnerable in our community: people sleeping on the streets in inner Sydney, through this Housing First approach to addressing homelessness during COVID-19.
Also a shout out to our support partners: Mission Australia, St Vincents de Paul and Salvation Army, who are helping our new residents to sustain their tenancies and rebuild their lives.
