A group of Cantonese-speaking Bridge Housing residents got together this week for our Time to Talk Cantonese event at the Woodstock Community Centre in Burwood. Residents and staff enjoyed lunch together and one lucky tenant won a gift card.
Residents received information on current Bridge Housing initiatives including TAG, Big Ideas Grants, Community Gardens, Bridge Buddies and Good Neighbour Champions.
Tenants raised questions about individual tenancies and the common areas in which they live including: parking allocation, hazards and safety, customer service, repairs and maintenance in leasehold properties, how to report repairs and tenancy issues, property modifications for residents with complex needs, and providing feedback on repairs.
