Bridge Housing staff celebrated the start of Chinese New Year today with Chinese-themed afternoon teas in both our city and Brookvale offices.

A very Happy New Year to all our Chinese residents as you celebrate this special time of the year, as well as our Vietnamese residents who are celebrating Tet.

The Year of the Rat symbolises strength and fertility. The rat is the first animal in the Chinese zodiac so is also associated with new beginnings.

春节快乐!  Kung Hei Fat Choy!  Happy Chinese New Year!

Our offices were decorated in red, we read fortune cookies, received red envelopes filled with sweet gifts, and ate Chinese delicacies. Thank you to Becky Chan, Stephanie Sin and Frank Li for helping us celebrate in authentic style!

Chinese New Year runs from 25 January – 9 February 2020.
