Bridge Housing residents and their families were delighted to visit Taronga Zoo on Saturday to join our end-of-year celebration party.

One hundred residents and 60 children, as well as many staff, attended the event at the Zoo’s function centre, which gave families the chance to see the animals, give their children a special day out, and connect with others from their community.

CEO John Nicolades gave a welcome speech, there was a delicious lunch, Lion King animal props, and activities for the kids. There was also a guessing competition for what kind of animal Bridge Housing would be. The answer? A meerkat!

John said: “Much like the meerkat, Bridge Housing might not be the biggest community housing provider in the universe. However, we work really well together as a team, we’re always on the lookout for new opportunities, and, most importantly, we do our very best to help people whenever we can.”

“Whichever way you look at it, it’s been a great year for Bridge Housing. Everyone who is here today has been a part of what makes our Bridge Housing community truly special – and, on behalf of everyone who works for Bridge Housing, we thank you so much for your contributions and efforts. “
