Housing Manager, Pathways Megan Caldwell won one of three high commendation awards for the Rising Star Award at last night’s Powerhousing Australia Awards 2019 in Canberra. There were 18 candidates contesting the award.

CEO John Nicolades said: “Congratulations Megan. This is a great achievement. We have long known you are a rising star but now you have been recognised as one by our industry!”

Megan joined Bridge Housing in early 2012 as the Pathways Administrator, assisting people apply for social housing. She then left Bridge to work for a few years in supported housing before returning as a Housing Manager.

Her strong personal commitment to enhancing the lives of vulnerable people is evident in her compassion and professionalism in the workplace, and her drive to continue building her skills and knowledge to achieve positive outcomes for applicants and tenants. 

Megan also regularly supports the Communities team with a range of initiatives including the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Tenancy Advisory Group (ATTAG) and the Reconciliation Action Plan. Megan frequently makes herself available in working hours to provide assistance and support to Aboriginal tenants and applicants.
