Tenant Participation Officer Laura Crowe feels confident she’s in the right job. “When I saw the position description I realised it was the perfect mix of all my previous work experience,” she said.

Laura spent nearly three years in Brisbane, as a case manager for Wesley Mission Queensland, a job that involved dealing with the Department of Housing, community housing providers, private real estate agents and tenants themselves to sustain those at risk of losing their tenancies. Prior to that, Laura worked in community development for local government.

“My work with tenants has given me an understanding of the issues they face and I’m really looking forward to working with Bridge Housing residents.”

Laura now lives on the Northern Beaches, where much of the Communities Team focus will be in the coming months as we engage with 1,200 new tenants and their families who’ve become Bridge residents under the Social Housing Management Transfer program.

Laura and her husband have completed a major house renovation that took up all her spare time, so she is now looking forward to relaxing at the beach on her stand-up paddle board!
