Bridge Housing has purchased an entire block of units in Punchbowl as part of our acquisition strategy to drive further portfolio growth.

The eight two-bedroom units in a two-storey block on a single title in Rossmore Ave Punchbowl are in the Canterbury-Bankstown Local Government Area, where Bridge Housing already owns or manages some 191 properties.

They have rear parking, are close to bus routes and shops, are opposite Punchbowl Public School, and are less than 800m from Punchbowl train station.

Our Assets Team is currently refurbishing the units, which will be offered to applicants as social housing by the end of the year. One of the existing residents qualifies for social housing so will return after the refurbishment and become a Bridge Housing tenant.

CEO John Nicolades said: “We have taken advantage of the subdued property market to buy a whole block. The purchase will help us meet our leveraging requirements with the Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) and to fulfil our 2018-21 Strategic Plan to grow our social and affordable housing portfolio.”
