Bridge Housing rolled out the red carpet for residents, staff and friends this week to celebrate National Reconciliation Week with a screening of movie Top End Wedding.

The event at Dendy Cinema Circular Quay attracted more than 100 people, including 50 or so Bridge Housing residents for whom the event was free. Ann Weldon from the Metropolitan Land Council performed a Welcome to Country

CEO John Nicolades said: "The film was funny and poignant dealt with issues of place, home, identity, family and country in a lovely manner. It was a fitting celebration to mark National Reconciliation Week and our commitment to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community."

This year's National Reconciliation Week theme is: Grounded in Truth, Walk Together with Courage.

If you haven't seen Top End Wedding yet we can highly recommend it!
