POSTER COMPETITION WINNER
Aunty Jenny Thomsen King
Congratulations to the winner of the 2026 poster competition – Aunty Jenny with her artwork Robin Redbreast “Resting Now”.
As Robin Redbreast was dancing on the red dirt, shaken it’s feathers, then spotted me, flew and rested in the tree. Giving out a beautiful glorious red glow
Aunty Jenny Thomsen King is a proud Ngiyampaa woman born on the Gadigal land of the Eora, her home. She is also a member of the Stolen Generations.
Aunty Jenny said she felt compelled to paint a powerful moment she experienced with the little Robin Redbreast bird when she was on country.
Robin Redbreast is a treasured story held by the Wangaaypuan people of Central Western NSW – Aunty Jenny’s ancestral homelands/Country. Aunty Jenny and her family continue to honour their connection to big sky, red dirt country. The land continually reveals its stories.
Stories of Robin Redbreast’s bravery and how it came to have a blazing red chest are universal, told in oral histories across many cultures.
TENANT ART SHOW 2026
The Art
The 2026 show celebrates truth-telling and belonging though the mediums of paint, pen, media, clay, wearable art, photography and words. Each work distills the feelings and ideas of a moment in time for each artist. Their art will challenge, delight and spark your curiosity.
Making is an ancient practice. Come experience creativity.
Most works exhibited are available to purchase. 100% of sales go straight to the tenant artist.
SMALL WORKS | BIG STORIES
These small works hold big meaning
Created by Bridge tenants, each postcard and A5 artwork offers a glimpse into everyday life – moments of reflection, creativity and care. The small format invites you to slow down and look closely, reminding us that powerful stories don’t need a large canvas.
By purchasing a piece, you’re supporting tenant creativity and the belief that everyone deserves space to be seen, heard and valued. These works are not just art objects; they are expressions of home, community and belonging.
THE VISIONARIES
10 years on
The Tenant Art Show marks a decade of creativity and connection, proudly born from the vision of our award-winning Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Tenant Advisory Group. Their leadership and ongoing advocacy for social housing have ensured that tenants’ lived experience is celebrated through art. Bridge remains committed to listening to our tenant community, empowering participation, and recognising the unique talent within our neighbourhoods.
Join us in honouring ten years of artistic expression, cultural pride, and genuine community involvement at the Tenant Art Show.
