Bridge Housing welcomes Housing Australia’s HAFFF Round 1 Announcement

Bridge Housing welcomes Housing Australia’s announcement of the preferred projects to be delivered under the first round of the Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF) and the National Housing Accord Facility (NHAF). This marks a significant step forward in addressing the urgent housing needs of communities across the country.

As part of this initiative, Bridge will deliver over 450 social and affordable housing units in high-need locations across Sydney including Merrylands and Lakemba. These homes will provide much-needed stability for individuals and families struggling to find secure, long-term housing.

Bridge Housing CEO, Laurie Leigh, said:

“We are proud to be part of this initiative and look forward to working in partnership with Housing Australia and our partners to deliver these projects. Safe and affordable housing is the foundation for strong communities, and these new homes will make a real difference in people’s lives.”

Consistent funding of social and affordable housing is essential to deliver a different housing future – one where all Australians have a home. Bridge remains committed to working with all levels of government, industry, and community partners to create lasting housing solutions.
