Art Show Poster Competition guidelines
Design the poster for our next community art show!
We invite Bridge Housing’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander tenants to enter our poster design competition. The winning artwork will feature in our official art show poster and in our corporate and online communications.
Entry Requirements
- Submit original artwork created entirely by you.
- You must be a current Bridge Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander tenants to enter.
- Artwork may be created using digital or traditional mediums.
- Your artwork must not infringe any copyright or breach any relevant national/state regulations. No AI artwork.
Use of Artwork
- By entering, you grant Bridge Housing a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence in perpetuity to use all or part/elements of your artwork in our print, digital and promotional materials.
- Event text, Bridge and sponsor logos, and other design elements to be added to digital and printing representations of the artwork for the purpose of promoting the Tenant Art Show and Bridge Housing. These additions do not require prior approval, but the final poster will be shared with the winning artist prior to publication.
- Fonts and layout choices added to the poster will follow Bridge’s brand guidelines and will be at the discretion of Bridge Housing.
- Multiple versions or iterations of the poster and related materials may be created.
- The winning artist will be credited wherever possible, but no additional payment will be made beyond the competition prize.
Submission Details
- Opening date: 20 January
- Closing date: 20 February
Submit your artwork (or a photo of your artwork) via email along with:
- Full name and contact details;
- A short artist statement; and
- A description of inspiration and/or the techniques used for the design with your entry.
- If sending a digital file, please make sure your file is high resolution and suitable for print.

Competition Prize
- The winning artist will receive a Visa gift card valued at $250
- No further financial compensation will be provided.
- The prize is not transferrable or redeemable for cash.
Judging
- A panel of judges appointed by Bridge Housing will review all eligible entries.
- Judges will assess originality, clarity, visual impact and suitability for the event.
- The judges’ decision is final and will not be open to change.
Copyright and Artist Rights
- The winning artist will retain copyright to the artwork.
- By submitting an artwork entry, you grant Bridge Housing permission to use the work as described above.
Privacy and Consent
- Personal details collected will be handled in accordance with privacy laws and Bridge Housing’s policy.
- By entering, you consent to your name or alias and artwork being used in promotional materials.
