Bridge is governed to grow sustainably
A voluntary Board of ten independent, non-executive directors governs Bridge. They are responsible for our business strategy and for assessing and managing risks. Our directors have diverse skills in key areas set out in the constitution.
Directors must act in the best interest of Bridge and its purposes. They are bound by voluntary governance principles and a board charter, as well as by the constitution.

Our Constitution guides the conduct of the Board of Directors and governance of the organisation.  Changes to the Bridge Housing Limited Constitution were passed at the 2023 AGM. The Constitution can be viewed here. 
All Bridge tenants are invited to become members. Members can vote on changes to our constitution and to elect directors at the AGM.
To become a member, complete the Company Membership Form. Once you are a member, you will remain a member until you move out of your Bridge home or you choose not to be a member.

2023 Annual General Meeting

Non-executive directors are elected by members at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for three years and are eligible to be directors for a maximum of nine years before retiring.

Our directors are skilled and experienced across many aspects of business, finance, law, housing and development, enabling them to make the best decisions on behalf of Bridge. The board skills matrix, updated annually, sets out the skills mix of the board and focus areas for continuous learning in line with our values and strategic priorities. The board keeps a record of priority skill areas to be considered when recruiting new directors.
The board has recently recruited three new directors and does not anticipate further recruitment in 2024-25.
Our policies outline the rights and responsibilities of our stakeholders and ensure we operate fairly, effectively and in accordance with the law.
