The Bridge Housing team for the 2018 Blackmore's Bridge Run are primed and ready for this great annual charity event in Sydney and need your support!

Your donation, big or small, will help us support First Peoples Disability Network Australia, a great organisation doing great work with First Peoples with a disability and their families to empower them and help overcome disadvantage. Learn more.

Some 20 staff will don their running shoes to complete a total of 125.5km in one morning on a 9-kilometre circuit around the city and across the Harbour Bridge this Sunday 16 September.

This is the fifth year that the Bridge Housing Harriers have participated in Bridge Run to raise money for charity. They have been undertaking a 10-week training session at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence (NCIE) in Redfern, sponsored by Bridge Housing.

First time participant and Housing Support Officer Rachel Berry says: “I enjoy running but I'm really doing this because I love the idea of Bridge Housing staff doing the run together and working as a team. Whether I run or walk to the finish line, I'm determined to get there!"

Team coach and Assistant Development Manager Sinead Duffy said: “Bridge Run not only enables our staff and our stakeholders to give back to the community but is a fun team-building activity through which we support each other to train hard and meet a goal!"

Housing Manager Ray Fatafehi is bringing his eight, seven and five-year-old children to walk the 3.5km course and is competing after having major surgery this year. "It's good to be able to involve the kids in my workplace and I know they'll have fun."
