Reece Plunkett, Manager Service Innovation, took Bridge Housing's award winning Hand Up arrears program on the road to Wollongong last week, with a presentation at the Homelessness NSW conference.
Reece was delighted to share a good news story on the day in which worsening homelessness figures were released. Reece explained how Hand Up enables tenants who are facing eviction for arrears to save their tenancies through health, education and employment related activities, and outlined the program's excellent results to date.
The session was part of Bridge Housing's strategy to support take-up of the program by other housing providers, which was met with considerable enthusiasm yesterday. Program information and a full evaluation are available on the Bridge Housing website.
